EDITORIAL POLICY

How Global Affairs Tech works

Our aim is accurate, transparent and clearly labeled coverage of global affairs and technology.

Content types

  • News reports verified developments and separates what is confirmed from what is not yet known.
  • Analysis interprets the significance of events and states its assumptions and uncertainty.
  • Opinion presents a viewpoint. It is always labeled and is not reporting.
  • Explainers build understanding of the systems, terms and ideas behind the headlines.

Accuracy and sourcing

  • We link to reliable primary sources wherever possible.
  • We do not fabricate news, statistics, quotations or sources.
  • We show publication dates and, where an article is changed, an accurate updated date.
  • Breaking-news banners are used only for verified developments.

Use of AI tools

We do not publish automatically generated articles without editorial review. Anything published under the Global Affairs Tech name is read, checked and approved by a person before it goes live.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and note the change on the article. To report an error, please use our contact page and include the article title or link.

Independence

Sponsored or commercial content, if we ever publish it, will be clearly labeled and kept separate from editorial coverage.
